While in Ranthambore, I stayed at the Oberoi Vanyavilas hotel -- beautiful place! I've decided that off-season travel is well worth it in India -- while you do have to endure the heat, the hotel discounts are often 50% and the service at the hotels is fabulous since they are mostly empty.
The rooms at the Vanyavilas are called tents -- but unlike any tent I've ever camped in --- solid walls, hardwood floors, wireless, etc.
The hotel is also conveniently located about 5 - 10 minutes from the entrance to park.
