Nandi Hills

Jann (TWer) and I went to Nandi Hills last Saturday. It's a hill station about 60 km from Bangalore. Top of the hill is about 6000 ft. about sea level (Bangalore is at around 3000 ft).

Nandi Hills was the summer retreat for Tipu Sultan (King of Mysore) and also the summer residence for Sir Mark Cubbon (Commissioner of Bangalore).

We had our driver drop us off at the top of the hill and walked down a flight of 1,175 steps -- windy, steep, uneven steps --- took us much longer than we expected -- beautiful and very quiet, so well worth it!
