One of our
developers committed suicide last week. He worked out of our Pune office -- lived in Mumbai and was actually working on a project in Mumbai (which is why he was home during the week). Jnanesh had spent 6 months working in Bangalore earlier in the year --- so folks from both offices were in shock.
We were scheduled to have our 'Welcome to 2010' party last Friday -- but it was postponed until Jan 29.
Side note: life insurance in India pays out for suicides -- provided that the policy has been in effect for at least 1 year.
