Spent my birthday at Bandipur National Park with 7 co-workers (+ 1 husband, +1 daughter). We drove down Friday morning and back Sunday afternoon -- 250 km that took us 6+ hours each way (lots of traffic + lots of stops). Will post more about the park -- we went on 4 jeep safaris while we were there -- spotted a tiger during the first safari -- but it was too fast moving for us to take pictures -- after that didn't see any more tigers (although other people from our lodge did see them on Saturday & Sunday). Did see lots of other animals though (elephants, sloth bears, wild boar, spotted deer, eagles, mongoose). Altogether an excellent trip and a great way to spend my birthday weekend.
How was the cake?
ReplyDeletethe cake was pretty good -- very fudgey --- not quite as good though as the cakes from Gaston Avenue Bakery!
