The Shimla airport was quite small -- only 1 flight in / out every day. Have to say that I rather like these small airports, quick to check-in, get through security, etc. Bad though if you miss your flight --- leaving on Sunday, we encountered a huge traffic accident in town -- driver decided to take a "back road" to bypass the accident and get to the airport on time -- I do believe that there was only one alternative road, and it was very windy, bumpy -- but interesting to go through small villages, etc.
