Every evening an Aarti ceremony is held at the Dashashwamedh ghat. It's a Hindu ceremony performed by Brahmin priests-- it involves the waving of lighted wicks before the deities ina spirit of humility and gratitude and symbolizes the five elements (1) space, (2) wind, (3) light, (4) water, and (5) earth.
