Mysore Palace was built in 1912 and was the official residence of the royal family of Mysore. We went on a tour of the inside of the palace -- unfortunately couldn't take any pictures -- absolutely gorgeous, especially the stained glass in the main ceremony room and the ballroom. The palace is lit up on Sunday nights --- a rather spectacular vision that I witnessed on my first visit to Mysore.
